a collection of notes, inspired by @casablanca ‘s post a few weeks ago, “Overriding Emotions”.

i just came acrost it on my desktop, and you know how often i actually flesh out a thought, and that’s not often. so here it is, like it is.

logical decisions. emotional yankings in advertising. people separate their needs from gut desires – to be sexy, to fit in. social sanction, status symbols.

new society – how are people freed from this? training/drug/evolution

items pushed upon us, or searched for. economic level – how many products needed, price leveling.

consumer index.

generational brand support.

why support brands? what can we believe in, and what should we believe?
