tow truck man

well the tow truck man towed my car today. towed it home for me. i could not drive it because yesterday my brakes stuck, and caught on fire. little yellow flames from the brake pads, and i had pulled into a gas station, and there i was, blowing out little flames under the hubcaps with tiny poufs of breath.

but that was yesterday.

today the tow truck man towed my car home, and we spoke about travelling. and he travels around, with a basketball team, looking for international scouts. and one scout wanted him to play basketball internationally two years ago, but he could not go because his father had gotten sick.

so now he drives the tow truck.

i wanted to give him extra dollars, for the trouble, and for a job well done, but i didn’t have any extra dollars. so after a while he drove away.

i hope that one day i repay him, somehow. life is funny, and it could happen.
